so yeah, i was watching the US/Mexico world cup match, i watched the first half, US 1, Mexico 0.
then i started to drive home, and couldn't find any radio coverage of the match, i was kinda bummed, until i finally found one high up on the AM band... in spanish.
now, you may think spanish is hard to understand. you may think spanish speakers talk way too fast. now imagine that to the tenth power, cubed. that's what spanish sounds like when it's spoken by a crazed announcer covering a world cup match. i just wanted to listen to make sure mexico didn't score in the second half. here's an excerpt.

but when i got home, i found out that it was the US that scored the goal! i never thought the announcers would be that happy for the other side scoring. oh well, we won, 2-0, and we go to the round of 8 for the first time ever.
