damn freshmen

whenever i enter my house, i'm faced with a picture from floor to ceiling of several drawings done by one of the freshman living there. they're pictures where the ducks and people are reversed. a duck throwing bread crumbs into water with people bobbing around in it. a duck throwing a ball to win one of the people hanging at a carnival.
it seems so cliche that i'm struck by it every time i go in. it's like the "leave your drama at the door" sign that they put up. i can't even explain why it's so irritating and pathetic. it's like their weak attempt to improve their station in life and seem less immature.
good thing i'll be out of there come may.
