hypothetical scenario:
you have two bottles of water; one cold, one slightly warmer, almost room-temperature.
which do you drink first? if you drink the cold one, you'll enjoy it more than the warmer one, but by the time you're done drinking it, the warmer one will be warm, so it won't be very good. if you drink the warmer one, by the time you're done drinking it, the cold one will be just like the warmer one, so you won't get any cold goodness.
